Took My Wife Deer Hunting, “Bear” Walks Under Our Stand?!? | Self Filmed

This hunt is from the 2019-2020 deer season. The first hunt is on October 26. I brought my wife hunting to try and get her first buck. We seen some does and a spike. No big bucks came out, it may have been because of all the bear noises! We were hunting out of my fathers condo stand on our hunting lease in Fort Gaines, Georgia. She only hunted Saturday morning so I hunted for the rest of the weekend. Seen several does and a small buck.

Contact me through email, facebook, or Instagram if you would like to purchase a hat. I don’t have an online store set up yet.

So this hunt a lot of people is going to wonder why he didn’t shoot the first bird. Given the situation with the gun still in his lap he could not move to get a shot without spooking the bird because it was so close. The boss Tom was closing the distance from the right so he decided to be patient and wait . We don’t discriminate as long as they have a full fan and visible beard they are game to us . Thanks for watching ‼️

Duck Hunting in a SNOW STORM!! + Catch and Cook Bufflehead!

I decided to go out hunting during a bomb cyclone! Might have been a bad idea… but the snowstorm did get some ducks moving and got me my first ever bufflehead! Overall it was a good day of duck hunting that I wrapped up with a catch and cook back at home to escape the cold and snowy Maine weather.

Enjoy!

The Case Against The Ontario Spring Bear Hunt

Well, there’s no nice way to put it: the Ontario government wants to make permanent the spring season for killing black bears.

There’s a whole lot of reasons the Ontario spring bear hunt shouldn’t exist at all, let alone be made a permanent fixture. To explore the myriad of reasons it’s a bad idea and more completely outline the harm this hunt can and does cause, I was joined by bear expert Mike McIntosh of Bear With Us Sanctuary and Rehabilitation Centre here in Ontario.

Two brothers get a double on spring bear in north Idaho.

My brother and I hunt spring bear in north Idaho after having meniscus sugary. After a slow start to the season and a knee sugary, my brother and I were able to havest two great bears in north Idaho. We had a great time getting out and baiting bear.

Hunting bear in the spring is a very good predator management tool. In Idaho, we are able to use bait to bring bear in and harvest them. It is illegal to shoot a bear that has cubs. In Idaho, there is an abundant number of bears and in several units, Idaho allows the harvest of two bears per year.

Bear predation on ungulates in the spring can be very devastating to the calf and fawn survival rates. It is our responsibility to manage all wildlife. This includes predators. Predator management is very important to the health of all species in each ecosystem.
